Associate Professor Dr Arin Bayraktaroglu was one of the Directors of The Cambridge Centre for Languages running language courses for international students at Sawston Hall for 25 years (1982-2007). Prior to this she was a Lector at the University of Cambridge where she returned to work as a Visiting Scholar from 1994 to 1997. She has published extensively in the area of sociolinguistics and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. She has acted as a Council Member for British Association for Turkish Area Studies for 30 years and has been a member of the combination Room of Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge since 1988.
Arin Bayraktaroglu was the recipient of a “Success Award” in 2019 conferred by the Federation of Turkish Associations UK.
Since 2021 she has been publishing her literary work in Turkey.
